UCOL Community Outreach
for children in the Oglala Sioux Tribe - Pine Ridge, South Dakota
Linda Herzberg, a congregant, is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of Pine Ridge, SD. Her mother is a school nurse at Wolf Creek Elementary School. The children are from pre-school through 8th grade. They are in need of clothes for the children when they have an accident at school such as getting sick or getting soaked falling in a puddle. Sometimes they need clothing because the kids do not have clothes appropriate for the weather. The biggest need is for size 5-10. They need is for sweat pants, jeans, t-shirts, sweat shirts or sweaters, socks, and underwear. We ask that the underwear be new but used clothing is welcome for the outer wear. If you will bring the clothing to the church, Linda will make sure it gets to Wolf Creek Elementary School. Thank you. Donations through April 17th so that Linda can pick them up before Easter Sunday. Thank you all for reaching beyond our community to another community in need....the ripple of our love and generosity grows! |
